It's often the simplest ideas that are the best. Here's a link to a great little art project http://recoveringlazyholic.blogspot.com/2009/07/never-ending-polaroid-project.html
Recovering lazyholic is one of my favourite blogs right now so why not browse the rest of the site while you're there? Enjoy :)
An afternoon walk
Wednesday, 29 July 2009
Anyone else finding the current weather a little depressing? I finally have lots of free time to go and take pictures but instead I'm stuck at home sheltering from the rain!!!
Here's some pictures from a few afternoon walks with friends back when there was still sunshine. Just a little reminder that we do occasionally have good weather in England!!

Fun with Gaby
Monday, 13 July 2009
My lovely exhousemate Gaby came to visit for a few days a while ago and we decided to have some fun with my camera. We just took silly fashion shots round my house. The results turned out pretty well though. I'd love to do more stuff like this so if anyone is ever up for modeling just drop me an email.
Here's just a few of the pics. If you want to see the whole album then ask me and I'll give you a link for it.

Studio shoot part 2
Tuesday, 7 July 2009
As well as using my housemates as models, some friends of ours had asked if we'd do some couples shots of them. Matt and Nay showed up in their wedding attire and we had a great fun evening with them taking lots of pictures. Here's just a couple of them...

Studio shoot
A few of us decided to set up a photography club to get together, exchange tips and go take pics together. (Our facebook site is http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=53167017867&ref=ts ). Just after I got my D80 we arranged a studio session together round our house using a friends studio equipment. I got my housemates to pose as models and then the photo club guys piled round ours and started snapping away. I was only just getting used to my camera and the studio stuff was new to all of us except Stu. But I got some pretty ok pics. Here's just a few. If you'd like to see the full album from the shoot then drop me an email and I'll give you the link for it.

New camera!!!
The compact camera was good for a while but it didn't take long for me to feel irritated by its limitations. For years I'd dreamed of one day buying a decent camera and learning to take good pictures. Finally in May, thanks to a friends not so gentle encouragement (haha) I decided to invest in a camera. I chose a Nikon D80 and we are very happy together - I think we make a great team. I started out just taking snaps of nature as I walked to work. Here's a few

My first pics
My first digital camera was a very basic compact. I took myself off to Lyme Regis for a day to try it out and here's the results. Not too bad even if I do say so myself. Two of these pics are now available to buy as stock images here http://www.bigstockphoto.com/search/photographer/littlesnapper
Welcome....

Ok...so, here begins my latest adventure. After a long year of rethinking life and rediscovering who I am I have come to the conclusion that God designed me to be a creative being and that I should put my heart and soul into being just that. It's been a tough year of wondering what to do next. But it's also been an amazing year. It's been great to be able to take time out to rediscover my creative self and to pick up things I've wanted to try for ages. I've always had a good eye for a photo but just didn't have a camera to play with!!! But now I do and I'm loving it!!!
I plan to put my photos up here for you all to see. And I'm also going to be setting up a site on www.etsy.com to sell prints of pics and things like postcards created from my images. If there are particular pictures you like then email me and I'll try to add them to what I'm selling on etsy.
Thanks guys
Enjoy
